Plano Economic Development Board Announces
Appreciation Awards.
PLANO, TX (October 26, 2005)— The
Plano Economic Development Board has announced the winners
of the 2005 Business Appreciation Awards. EDS was named as
Corporate Citizen of the Year and VuCOMP was named as Technology
Gazelle of the Year.
EDS is a leading global technology services company delivering

VuCOMP, Inc., a medical Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) company
specializing in the detection of early disease, relocated
their corporate office to Plano into 19,400 square feet at
6509 Windcrest Drive in the Lincoln Properties' R&D Legacy
Center. The company is dedicated to saving lives by creating
an unprecedented level of detection technology to assist medical
professionals. Founded in 2001 by an engineering team from
Texas Instruments Defense Systems, VuCOMP is a privately held
company.
According to Larry May, Chairman of the Plano Economic Development
Board, the mission of the organization is to identify and
recruit businesses that contribute to the City's economic
well being and to recognize organizations that exemplify achievement.
